Take Our 5-Minute HR Survey – Your Insights Matter

The world of work is undergoing profound and global change. As more people retire than enter the labour market, demographic shifts are transforming the workforce. At the same time, rapid technological developments – especially in AI – are reshaping job roles and required skills across all sectors.

In this context, older employees are increasingly vital to companies’ success. Yet in our HR consulting, talent management, and outplacement work, we see a consistent challenge: professionals aged 55 and over face longer job searches, fewer internal opportunities, and persistent age-related bias. Research shows it takes job seekers over 50 twice as long to find new employment – and those over 55 face even greater obstacles, including outdated hiring algorithms and limited professional development support.

Despite this, we believe there is great untapped potential in older workers, and with the right strategies, senior talent can thrive. But to drive real change, we need deeper insights – especially at a global level.

That’s why we’re conducting this international study. We aim to collect comparative data on how different employers are responding to demographic change, supporting the career development of older employees, and preparing their workforces for the future.

Your participation will contribute to a broader, cross-national understanding of how age, employability, and workforce strategies intersect. The results will help identify patterns, gaps, and best practices worldwide – and help us build a global view of ageing and work.
